Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the federal government will extend all possible cooperation to the Sindh government. We will help solve the problems facing the people.
Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee on Corona, which was attended by Sindh Chief Minister and other provincial chief ministers through video link.
The statement said that the Prime Minister had a special talk with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on the situation in Karachi and said that the federal government would extend all possible cooperation to the Sindh government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he would cooperate in solving the problems faced by the people and the destruction caused by rains in Karachi.
He said that instructions have been issued to all federal agencies for relief activities in Karachi.
The Prime Minister said that a long term plan is being formulated for the solution of the problems of Karachi. He said that he would personally visit Karachi in the next few days and take stock of the situation.
The meeting was also briefed on measures to stop the spread of Corona during Muharram.
During the briefing, the meeting was informed about the rehabilitation, testing, tracking and implementation of quarantine strategy in schools.
The meeting was briefed on the tourism testing strategy and micro-smart lockdown strategy and was informed that Pakistan's strategy against corona prevention is being appreciated globally.
The meeting was also briefed on the implementation of SOPs regarding gatherings and processions during Muharram.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that due to effective communication and comprehensive strategy, success was achieved against Corona, thanks to government efforts and strategy, the spread of Corona was stopped.
He said that there was still a threat of Corona which required the cooperation of the entire nation and the cooperation of religious leaders in the fight against Corona was commendable.
The Prime Minister directed that consultations be held with the provincial governments and school administrations regarding the resumption of educational activities.
