Karachi: Heavy rains have stopped, roads have turned into ponds

Heavy rains have stopped in Karachi since this morning, however, due to non-drainage of rain water, several highways and roads have become ponds.

Shara-e-Faisal has become a pond at the nursery site. Water has also accumulated on the main University Road from Hassan Square to the Meteorological Department.

Water has also accumulated on the road from Tariq Road to Liberty Signal.

Water has also accumulated on the road leading to Karimabad, Ayesha Manzil and water pump on Pakistan Highway.








As a result of today's continuous rains, the road from Sohrab Goth to Shafiq Mor and Nagan Chowrangi and the surrounding area have also been inundated.

The road from KDA Chowrangi to Haideri and Sakhi Hassan to Nagan Chowrangi in North Nazimabad has also been flooded.

The road from Lasbela to Nazimabad number one has also been closed to traffic.

The submarine Chowrangi underpass has also been closed to traffic due to flooding.

Korangi Crossing and Korangi Causeway have also been closed to traffic after the Malir River flooded the road due to continuous rains.

Several feet of water has also accumulated at Natha Khan Bridge on Drug Road.

Meanwhile, traffic flow has been restored after drainage of water from Lyari Expressway.
