KARACHI: Governor and Chief Minister Sindh, members of provincial cabinet and senior officials visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
Pakistan Day started with salute of 21 cannons in Karachi. Special prayers were offered in mosques for the development and prosperity of the country. On this occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Ishratul Ebad visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Of
Senior Ministers Nisar Khorro, Manzoor Wasan, Commissioner Karachi and Sharmila Farooqi also accompanied him. He laid flowers at the shrine, offered Fateha and paid homage to the great leader of the subcontinent.
Talking to media on the occasion, Governor Sindh said that today is a historic day. There is a big difference between last year and March 23 this year. The struggle of federal and provincial governments against terrorism is on.
He said that work was underway on major projects in the country with the restoration of law and order. The Sindh Governor also thanked the Chief Minister Sindh for the four projects in Karachi and Lyari Expressway.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that he appreciated the efforts of the Army Chief against terrorism. Law enforcement agencies have made many sacrifices.
