The human rights organization's annual report reveals that the suicide rate is rising alarmingly across the country.

According to a recent report by a human rights organization, the number of suicides has increased across the country during 2017-18, with 2,258 people taking their own lives, including 950 women.

Most people ended their lives fed up with unfavorable conditions, poverty and domestic strife, while last year the situation was no different, with 1,541 people, including 550 women, committing suicide.

According to the human rights organization, an average of 120 to 150 people are taking their own lives every month in the country, most of them have committed suicide by hanging from a trap or taking poisonous drugs.
