Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that his government is fully aware of the problems of the people affected by heavy rains in the country.
In a series of tweets on the social networking site Twitter, Imran Khan said that in the context of heavy rains, my government is well aware of the difficulties faced by the people, especially the people of Karachi.
He said that he was personally monitoring the relief operations and was in constant touch with the Chairman NDMA and Governor Sindh to keep abreast of the situation.
In another tweet, the Prime Minister said that he had instructed the Chairman NDMA not only to rescue the people trapped in the water but also to provide emergency medical aid, food and shelter to the needy immediately. Manage supplies too.
The Prime Minister said that along with this, I have also ordered them to ensure immediate restoration of basic facilities (utilities).
He said that overcoming major challenges like cleaning of drains, improvement of drainage system and supply of water to the people of Karachi, we will announce a plan for permanent solution of the problems created by the floods and be able to deal with these crisis situations. We will not leave Karachi alone.
