Increase in rate of return on many national savings schemes

 The rate of return has been increased on several National Savings Schemes. A notification has also been issued for the recent change in the rate of return.

According to the notification, the rate of return on Defense Savings Certificates has been increased from 8.44 to 8.49 percent.

The rate of return on Special Savings Certificates was also increased, raising the average rate of return from 6.87 per cent to 7.77 per cent.

According to the notification, the rate of return on regular income savings certificates has been increased from 7.8% to 8.04%.

The rate of return on Welfare, Martyrs Welfare and Pension Certificates will remain the same while the rate of return on Short Term Certificates has also been increased.
